So I play a bit of bass, but I don't really own one I just borrow one from a friend. I was wanting to do a bit of a recording of this project I have going, but I have no amp. So I was thinking of running a bass through my pedal board and in to my Epiphone Valve Standard and into a bass cab. Does this sound OK I am not looking for a really clean bass sound.

A bass cab is all that matters. If you're using a guitar head, it really won't bring out the bass very well, but as long as it's a passive EQ, make sure the bass is at 10, at the very least. In my opinion, you should run the EQ totally cranked to 10 (i.e. flat EQ).

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..
