This was a joint effort by my recent band mate Caleb Anthony. He is not apart of this forum I don't think yet I want to still give him much credit. Anyways we are forming a metal-core band, named Pardon the Insolence we are all talented musicians and I just want some reviews.

Right now all we have is a Toneport and Crystal sound engine to record with so we figured Guitar Pro would better suite as in a demo. We did a quick cover of 94 Hours which is on our Myspace then ran over it again adding the fills, but without a drum track first it through us off. /off-topic rant

I want to know if it has originality, taste, repetitiveness, catchy phrasing, basically...does our style fit yet have something new for the music scene.

That was pretty good. I really likes the transitions, the whole song flowed really well. The solo could have more shredding :P but its pretty awesome.

The only weak part I would have to say is that I didn't really like the drums. I can't quite put my finger on why, but I think it's prolly because there not heavy enough IMO.

I don't really have the GP5 skill to do a good solo, I just did what I could. I agree with you on the drums, I am not a drummer. =D

No, the solo is beautiful man, but I would counterbalance it with a massive shred solo somewhere too or something, becuase shred is awesome.

Thanks Adam, yeah i'll talk to the other guy about adding more of a shreddy solo. Honestly haven't tried much to make really nasty fast solo's, any tips?

alright to start off
sorry if my critting is harshe/bland, im tired as hell haha

alrgight overall i liked the piece

the littel things i didnt
-overuse of cymbols
-breakdown was kinda eh
-no shredy solo, i gottaagree with them^

the things i did
-nice riffing
-harmony was good
-the jazz like sol or whatever was awesome

so overall just tighten up some of your writing with the drumms, work on some shred soloing and oh yeah, you need bass, itll sound so much better trust me

The Intro Really sounded like what i remember of August burns red. it was nice.

But about 50seconds to a minute in sounded really As i lay Dying. The "random" slow jazzy kind of solo was really BTBAM. It was awesome to hear all of those bands put together.

Its sick.

Generic metalcore, but it is still a good song i give you that.

I loved the guitar riff in the verse 2. Was catchy but still fuffilling the purpose well.

I give it a 6 and a half/10

Give it some good originality and work on it and it could climb higher!

great metalcore, i loved that break down and the clean part. overall it was really good and i dont have much to criticize about it.

The only parts I liked is the Intro and Verse 2. The transition from Verse 2 and the Chorus was awful, like it went out of key or something, and the drums aren't very good, as mentioned before.

I personally think the bridge sounds better as:

Sorry but I don't like that at all. That is way more out of 'key' then my transition.

Generic metalcore, but good nontheless.
The intro was cool, but try to do another melody with the lead instead of playing the same twice.
The 2 first verses were awesome, nothing much more to say.
Bar 40, that little chord on the overdriven guitar destroyed my ears. Might wanna get rid of it >.> Other than that break is awesome, but kinda repetitive.
The harmony section was beautiful, very well done.
The clean part w/ the solo was really nice, and how the song ends with the intro, wow.

Nice song there!

Yes, it is generic its my bands first real song. About that bar 40 its a minor 2nd, its suppose to sound nasty. Ever hear Norma Jean and Drop Dead, Gorgeous? That is their main chord structure. Its almost the same as the intro but not quite.

Hmm, i'll try to find another melody but it sets the tone for the song to me.

Good;
- Intro breakdown style bit is cool!
- Nice little, alm,ost middle eastern sounding riff!
- Chorus is really catchy!
- I like the breakdown, nice use of the Reverse Cymbal.
- Bridge is cool!
- The chords in the clean vocal section seem to go too fast for me, there just picked to fast.
- Verse 3 - the clean bit witht he solo's, probably my favourite part!
- Outro, very nice!

Not So Good;
- Triplets in the verse with riff like that always throw me off a bit, but thats just my opnion.

Haha! I never went back and changed that, wow. I am pretty forgetful. I meant it to be 8th notes. Thanks for pointing it out, i'll fix it now.
