Guitar>GT8>straight to PA
or
Guitar>GT8 > modeling amp like Marshall MG on clean>miced to PA

is it really worth micing a modeling amp
wouldnt the speaker emulation on the processor suffice

Also i need to know, does all modeling amp have digital modeling or are there amps with analog modeling too...

THe MG isnt a modeler... Its just a poor quality practice amp.

The awnser is secret option number 3, go out and get a decent amp.

MG isn't a modeler. Go GT* into a decent solid state, that should do, if not loud enough then mic

EDIT: also no such thing as analogue modeling as that would have to EXACTLY replicate the circuitry of the amp it models therefore a modelling amp that modelled say 10 amps would have to have 10 amps inside it. Digital is a lot easier

Don't have too much experience but I know that any modeller through an mg will sound like **** (from my own experience) the gt8 straight into the PA will probably do it but if you have to plug it into a guitar amp look for an option to turn off cab models (I don't own the gt8 so I can't say if it does or not)
