wat would be a good guitar for someone (in this case, me) to use since i play thrash?

any reccomendations?

i want it with a fast neck, you know, nice action, smooth, etc.

and it's gotta have a nice metal/thrash/badass look

and if its not to expensive, thatd be great....

any ideas?

Deans. I like them, and the cheaper ones are great value.

Jacksons are also nice. What's your budget? And what amp do you have?

If your budget is low, Ibanez S-Series and switch the pickups or LTD/Jackson of some kind.

what your describing is an ibanez rg series, you can get a good one for like 350 at guitar center, both with tremolo and non tremolo, but some can go up to like 750, the only problem on some of the cheaper ones is the pickups arent bad, but are good for fast stuff, so i mena if you put a set of duncans or emg's in there it'll kick ass

My Dean V was 300 USD and has held up great, especially those first months when I knew nothing about guitars, so I ended abusing it really bad. It plays great still. I'd recommend it...

What you want to avoid are cheap BC Rich's. They suck.

Good enough. OK from the factory, but you can ease it lower. Just don't expect PRS-style action from it. But it's not like it will hinder your playing. My ML has a Les Paul style neck, and the V is more like a Jackson shred neck. Both are pretty nice. Honestly, just try a bunch of guitars and go with what you like. But I'd recommend Dean and Jackson.

For $200, you aren't realistically going to get a good guitar. If you have a guitar already, you would be better off saving your money until you can afford to get something decent. About the best thing you could do for that amount of money is upgrading the pick-ups in another guitar.

If you get around $700, you can start to afford decent guitars with good pick-ups, or get a cheaper well made guitar and put good pick-ups into it.

Look into a used 400 series LTD, they are in that price. EMG pickups, perfect for old school thrash(my opinion). And really fast neck + aggressive shape
