Alright, got the above pedal... It uses 9V batteries...

For an AC adapter:

MUST YOU USE THE A SPECIFIC BOSS ADAPTER FOR THE PEDALS/THE GENERIC ONE SOLD ON GUITAR RETAIL SITES FOR 20$?

OR

CAN I USE A AC 9V ADAPTER FROM RADIO SHACK THAT I ALREADY HAVE OR IS IT TO MANY MILLIAMPS?

Yes, I know that disconnecting the pedal when not in use saves batteries... But still Batteries every month or so gets a little pricey

Much Respect

If the voltage/wattage/amps/whatever are all identical, then it's the same. Now, keep in mind that the Boss one might be made of higher-quality components, I don't know either way.

But many generic adaptors are sold, and many pedal manufacturers purposely make their pedals to the exact same power specifications, so you can use the power adaptors interchangeably, and not get stuck with just Boss products.

I bought the specific one for use with my NS-2(Noise suppressor)...
after a while it started to cause abit of hum for some strange reason...

anyway, i think your advised to use the specific one, but if you have any old one that matches the spec..i guess it should work....

i just stick with batteries now, less hassel for setting up at gigs....
