Ive seen tons of posts about the hardest song to play but none about the easiest song so what do you think is the easiest.

P.S.: I mean *real* songs no marry had a little lamb or happy birthday.

Green Day - Brain Stew
3 chords in the whole song, you play the same slow rhythm all through. I can't find anything easier.
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

The famous riff is easy, but the rest of the song - which every few people ever bother to learn - isn't so. It's still a beginner song, but there are much easier songs out there too.

I'd say the absolute easiest song is Knockin' On Heaven's Door. If you're playing the original Bob Dylan version, or the Avril Lavigne cover or Bon Jovi cover, it's just four chords, over and over. The GNR version adds some simple solos, but even that is still very easy.

In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel is just G, Em, C, and D played with the same rhythm for the entire song. So if you know those chords and can strum, youre golden. It also has the benefit of actually sounding pretty good too (however basic it may be).

Things Beyond Things by Devin Townsend is up there too.

In Time - Mark Collie

It's 2 chords.

D minor, and G.

It's on the movie Punisher. The part when that guy comes into the diner with his guitar. It's awesome.

Also a nice folk song.
Kinda creepy and morbid though. All you metalheads should like it.

2 chords in that song by the way so its probably one of the easiest songs of all time considering with the chords all you do is move 1 finger up and 1 finger down.
#35
Besides the Tenacious D comment, the easiest song ever has to be a cold day in hell by Winds Of Plague.
#38
Horse with No Name is just Two Chords. Probably the easiest of the easy.
