We all know that a tubescreamer going into a SS amp/modeler does nothing. However, what if it goes into a TUBE POWER AMP hybrid? Thanks.
A Tubescreamer SIMULATES the sound of an overdriven tube amp, it doesn't actually boost your preamp. That's what a boost pedal is for. Overdrive pedals work with any type of amp, just like distortion pedals.
Hi, I'm Peter
You could maybe use it to boost the poweramp but unless your amp is pretty low wattage it will just make it louder unless you add drive, which you may as well just put infront of the amp all together. If you used it to boost infront of the preamp it would sound bad driving solid state though.
