So since my music teacher has introduced me to many different genres of music since the semester started, and I am not as closed minded as I was the first time I had his music/guitar class, I am going to build up my library with as many different styles as I can.

So the favor I ask of you, UG community, is to throw bands/artists at me, and I will write them down and be sure to get at least a couple songs from them. If you have any song suggestions, put them down to.

Any genre is welcome.

From Country to Metal to Blue to Rock to Jazz to Funk and so on.

Anything at all.

What I'm currently digging:
-Johnny Cash (any part of his career really, but Folsom Prison Blues and Ring of Fire are probably his best known)
-Kate Bush (try the Hounds of Love album)
-The Dresden Dolls (again, anything. My favourite songs are Coin Operated Boy and Christopher Lydon though)
The will to neither strive nor cry,
The power to feel with others give.
Calm, calm me more; nor let me die
Before I have begun to live.

-Matthew Arnold

That album is actually one song.

I suggest Mors Principium Est. Great Melodeath that not many people listen to.

Wow. Thanks Guys! That's a crapload of music

Don't stop, though! I'm completely open. I want all the suggestions I can get.

I'm not too hot on classical guitarists, but if you like the lute try finding tracks of John Dowland. They're pretty well-known pieces. There's a guy who does good performances on Youtube, I think.
