I currently own a standard mexi strat and I was wondering how good does that humbucker sound on the HSS stratocaster?

It's alright. Nothing special or anything. It gets the job done.

I personally think it's kind of stupid putting a 'bucker in a Stratocaster. If you want a humbucker sound, get a Gibby.

Trying one out for yourself is probably the best way to answer that question.

well the thing is I love that sound out of the neck single coil pickup and I would love to change between that and a humbucker... I would replace it eventually...
