Well i am forever looking for a new guitar, and have currently been searching on ebay. My price range is about $400-$500. I was hoping to go to a second hand guitar store but i can't get down there for a long time. Here's one i found.

If that isn't good and you could suggest me another one i would be extremly happy. If you need to know i listen to Tool, Muse, Dream Theatre, and more.

I play with a Roland 15 Cube. I will probably be playing with a fair bit of distortion. Most likely a 2nd hand guitar.

You have 500, right? Could you tell me how much that is in US Dollars or Euro?

EDIT:
This guitar costs 400EU, don't know how much that is in AUS though. I picked it because the guitar you linked to also had a double locking trem, but not a very good one. This one's trem is way better (won't wear out that easily), so you might want to take a look at it.

DOUBLE EDIT: Don't buy an RG with a tremolo unless it is an RG PRESTIGE. The trems on regular RG's have poor quality.

I don't know what $250 equates to in £ stirling but the guitar looks a bit of a mess, especialy round the pick ups also the pick up poles are rusty as is the bridge pklus the amp has issues, all this to me say's walk away.
I wish I had tallent and ability.

It's fine except for the Edge III tremolo. Those have poor quality compared to the ZR trem which is on the guitar I posted a link to. Do you really need a double locking trem anyways? If a guitar with a regular trem is good enough for you, you could check out the Ibanez SA32 and SAS36. They'd be in your price range and are great value for the price. If you don't need the trem at all, you could go with the RG321.

EDIT: If you cannot find an S320, maybe you can find an S470. These are pretty popular and I've yet to walk into a store that does not sell them. They are identical to the S320, however they have a pretty maple veneer on top. But therefore, they cost a little more.

Well that's not entirely true. I have an RG320 with a licensed tremolo on it and I wank on it pretty hard. Doesn't fall out of tune. Of course, maybe I just got a good one but the only way I can see one falling out of tune is if it isn't properly set up or if it breaks (Which it probably will, I had mine crap out on my Rhoads. ).

I think RG + Maple boards = awesum shredz0rs. Go for it.

I love shredzzz guitars with maple necks, pretty damn sexy looking. Of course id try and get away with not getting that amp with it.

A pup upgrade, and maybe drop in an OFR and it could be a great guitar.
