I am wanting to get a distortion/overdrive/fuzz box for my new amp I'm gonna get. The cleans are fine, but the dirty channel is crap.

So here's what I play mostly:

anything early 60's to late 70's

example:

Jefferson Airplane
David Bowie
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Velvet Underground
Iggy Pop
The Small Faces
The Spectres
T. Rex
The Who
Bob Dylan
Paul Simon
The Grateful Dead
The Kinks

and various one-hit wonders of the era

So, I need a fuzz/distortion/overdrive for EVERY 60's-70's style.

The Proco Rat re-issue would work for 80's right?

Any other suggestions?

you can look into the SD Tweak Fuzz.

lots of videos and sound clips out there; it is the 60's.

it's pretty much a custom pedal, mass produced by Seymour Duncan.

...and I love your sig.

another few options are the analogman sunface, solasound tonebender and mi audio neo fuzz.

Sounds like an OD would be much better for you.

Look into a Fulltone OCD. Very versatile, great tone.
Fender MIM Stratocaster
Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer
Fulltone OCD
Dallas-Arbiter Wah Baby
Home-Built Germanium Fuzz Face
MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay
2 Fender Blues Juniors

I have an AnalogMan w/ NKT-275 transistos & an external SunFace dial. It is a great pedal but I don't think it would suit your needs, very nics Fuss but not alot of overdrive type tones. It does clean up nicely w/ single coils and the guitars volume rolled back but I just think it is what you are looking for .

Go for the LovePedal Eternitity, It won't do Fuss but it does do have a very nice overdriven sound and can reach into distortion as well. Pricey but worth it IMO, altough not the most versital stomp out there it does it's job extremely well.

I can back up the MI audio Neo-fuzz it's a great pedal!
Ibanez SZ 320MH >> Vox V487 >> Barber LTD >> MI Audio Neo-Fuzz >> Peavey Bandit 112

its strange.. from the soundclips ive heard i prefer it to the sunface..

another thing i heard on a soundclip on the analogman website is that different batteries actually do sound different. i was a sceptic until i actually heard that clip.

why would you buy a new amp that you said was crap?
but for 60s fuzz youre probably thinking fuzz face

I came up with this kick ass riff on my ukelele when I was 12. Find out two years later, it was smoke on the water. Got my hopes and dreams killed..
