hey everyone, ive recently purchased a tech 21 sansamp bass driver, its also a DI box and i have a show comming up and i want to see how it sounds by itself. My question is do i need anything besides a battery for it and an XLR cable?
what a waste of a perfectly good sig.

You don't need anything else, just make sure the venue has a PA system.

I actually just thought of that today. im also pretty clueless on what ground lifting is, im sure it cant be too complicated, but i just want to know that everything will work.

Ground lift either disconnects the ground pin in the DI or puts resistance between it and the local ground. If you're getting noise through the PA when using DI, ground lift may fix the problem.
