I am looking for a handful of songs that are poular and the guitar part sounds a lot alike. If they have almost the same chord progression or the same rhythm or something would be great. Does anyone have any ideas on some songs that match this criteria? Or at least where I might be able to find these?
Richard Hell & The Voidoids - "Blank Generation"
Stray Cats - "Stray Cat Strut"
Green Day - "Hitchin' A Ride"
Oasis - Wonderwall

Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams

I don't think they're the exact same progressions, but as far as I'm aware Boulevard of Broken Dreams is just a semitone lower

first thing I thought of

but I think Pieces by Sum 41 and The Scientist by Coldplay can be overlapped and sound exactly alike or something. I'll find a video.

here it is:

...Nothing you've ever...
...Planned on ever turned out...
...The way you planned...

...You're still disappointing them...

Pink Floyd-Comfortably Numb
RacerX- Technical Difficulties

please go into more details...

Cause I don't see how a shred heavy song sounds like some song by Queen and David Bowie Especailly since one doesn't even have vocals...

Warning and American Idiot-Greenday
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all
Just listen to every punk song of the 90's.

C5 G5 A5 F5 obviously many of them would be in a different key, but thats the basic progression

A whole heap of groups are doing lately, Maroon 5, Matchbox 20 and all that stuff.
