Yeah, do enjoy Dananananakroyd. How can you ignore a band with such a great name?
Got one 7" from a while back, still gets shoved on every now and then. Looking forward to the album as well.

needs a few listens to get into i think, its a little jagged if you know what i mean. im kind of new to the band too so i couldnt say how it shapes up compared to the older stuff.

I saw them in London while I was there.
That was during "Some Dresses" so I've been following them ever since.

I went to see them and it was crazy, the band had loads of energy. And johnny foreigner were just as good. I chatted to both bands after and they were really decent people as well.

The Danananaykroyd CD is coming out soon, So i feel this thread deserves a bump.
I've been trying to tab "Some Dresses" by them. But it's more difficult than i thought.
That being said these guys have some pretty unique guitar textures going

never heard of the band, but thats an awesome name, especially since bands have been using really dumb names lately

Its not about the Radio its about talent, the front man has a bigger vocal range than Micheal Jackson and he can sing from heavey metal to high pitched ...No.12 on the top 20 under rated guitarists of ALL TIME...etc

The new album is pretty much flawless, totally worth the torturous wait.

Also does anyone know if they're doing any US gigs sometime soon?

I don't see why I need to listen to these when I've already got the brilliant JoFo's Waited Up 'til It Was Light in my most listened albums of the last year.

Plus, JoFo are English.

Think I'll probably go and see them tomorrow. I like their combo of tartrazine pop and caP'n Jazz-styleee guitars/shouting.

Most instrumental bands are like that, they're a very friendly bunch though and were hanging around after the show when I saw them.

Guess it wasn't your cup of tea.

Great live band, Hey Everyone is a top album.

Saw them at Hop Farm over the weekend. They were about the only band to get some movement out of the crowd with the "Wall of Death Cuddles", got my hat nicked by the singer from Fight Like Apes during it though

^ I must have been standing about 5 foot behind you then. Did you hang around for 65daysofstatic afterwards?

Well a couple of us wanted to see Doves, so we went over to see them to start with, but their sound was a bit crap, so we went back over to see 65dos.

Really enjoyed the weekend though. Apart from getting my hat nicked and some woman trying to make me dance to The Joy Formidable :-/

Managed to convert my metal head mate to quite a few bands over the course of the weekend

Found this thread after searching the band name.

These guys are great! Anyone know if they are going to be in the US anytime in the near future?

If you want to get really technical about it..

1. Grab sticks.
2. Bang sticks on drums.
