As the title suggests, i'm interested in Epiphone Elitists, Les paul to be exact. Thing is, i've been searching the crap out of the internets and i can not find anything on where Epiphone elitists are stocked within Australia, i've tried ebay, google, various instrument sites and nothing has come up, yet so many people seem to be gettin their hands on them very quickly.

If anyone has any sites within australia that do stock epiphone elitists please, do tell, as i'm greatly interested.

Ok thank goodness your from sydney, i can tell you a bit more i spose

I know allans music in the city doesnt bring guitars in, they only sell the floorstock. i tried to order my squier strat about 1 year and a bit ago and they said no.

I think it might be the same with Billy Hyde music, but i'm not 100% sure.

Turramurra music does bring in guitars, one of my friends ordered in his esp ec-1000 there, but they're overpriced, it cost him $2500 not including shipment.

The only other place i can think of is Gallins guitars in annandale, they specialise in Gibson/Epiphone guitars, i went to the shop once and it was a Les Paul lovers dream. I might send an email to them when i have time and check.

Turramurra music is actually pretty cheap once you bargain them down enough. Try drum city in willoughby, good service and good prices, although im not sure if they bring in stuff

Good luck!

Wow, $2500... I got my ESP Eclipse for $2300.

I suggest you go to www.guitar.com.au they're on the gold coast but they stock/order a lot of different guitars and brands. I doubt shipping would be any kind of extraordinary cost, it'd be like 50 bucks at most not even that.

Yeh, the funny thing is, since the store is located in the upper-middle class of Sydney, which includes the moderately rich suburbs of sydney, the guys that purchase from this store that live in the area generally seem to think that they're cheap, my guess if that many are too lazy to do some price research and the closest store is the lazy mans option for them i guess.

then again, i spose that they do have the money. at those rich people...

You can't get Epiphone Elitists from any retail shop in Australia.. I wanted one a while back and asked in Gallin's and they said that epiphone did 1 shipment of elitists when they first started the line and the sales were too poor and they don't have them anywhere in Australia anymore.

So either start searching US/Japan eBay and import one yourself or start looking for a different guitar.

Another possible option, ring/email the guy at www.globalvintage.com.au ..He gets a LOT of good japanese guitars and might actually have an Epi Elitist, if not he usually has MIJ Epi/Burny/Tokai Les Pauls which are just as good IMO.

EDIT: Make sure you do email or ring if you want to check out Global Vintage BTW, he barely ever updates his website.. He still has the guitar I bought off hi about 18months ago up on the site for sale.. So don't go by what he has on the website!
