Hey guys i went to London yesterday to Denmark Street to try Guitars out.

And am torn between three guitars.

1) Epiphone Gothic Explorer with Floyed Rose Tremelo Locking Systerm.
2) Washburn WI64v.
3) Fender MIM strat with reverse head stock in white.

Ok i play both blues and Metal. But more to metal than blues but more acoustic finger picking that blues lol.

Advantages of Epiphone:
That i can do coool whammy bar tricks without it getting de-tuned.
When i tried it with dist. it sounded amazing and the neck fitted into my hands easily.
Disadvantages of the Epipgone:
But when i tried it with clean to do some blues it sounded okay/good, not amazing like the distortion.

Advantages of Washburn:
Very versitle, and seems like it stays in tune.
Disadvantages of Washburn:
No whammy bar/locking tremelo system, because lately i have been into DragonForce/ Van Halen stuff. Also the neck was a tad laarger than the Epiphone but still managed to get the grip of the neck.

Advantages of the Fender:
Really versitle and really cool looking.
Disadvantages of the Fender:
It just sounds okay doing things like Megadeth.
And MEGADETH DISADVATAGE: only has 21 FRETS! I PREFER GUITAR WITh 22 frets or more+.

So yeah, i am not asking which guitar to choose for me but i am asking you which guitar you would choose.

Thanks.

I played all three guitars for a long time.

I would choose the epiphone because the whammy, it would really come in handy.

it sounds like you liked the explorer the best... fender trem probably isnt extreme enough for you, but i have mine set so that you can take the strings down to slack and raise the pitch a whole step.

what amp do you have?

Definitely the Explorer. It sounds like it caters more to what you want, and to make the cleans better, you can always roll down the volume on the guitar.

Whammy does not rhyme with handy.

I would choose the explorer, too.

If you're into **** like VH and DragonPorch dont bother with the Fender. Probably end up regreting it in the long term. Id go with a ESP or schecter.

get the fender if you like blues

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I'd go with Washburn.

For that price, the Floyd Rose will suck massive tits. If you want a quality trem you're going to have to save up more. Plus the whole 'Gothic Epiphone' range is shoddy value for money.

Washburn if you want versatility, with the cost of not being able to abuse the whammy bar.

It blatantly doesn't

I'd get the strat, but thats personal preference.

+1.

Single coils don't do metal. So don't bother with the strat - much as I love 'em. Unless you swap out for Hot Rails or the like - but then you might as well get a humbucker equipped guitar to start with.
