I've just put new strings on my guitar (11, 14, 18, 28,38, 48,), it went alright but now all my wound strings are giving a REALLY nasty metallic buzzing sound... like its vibrating off something.....

ive tried raising the action really high... didnt work and i cant see what it would vibrate off....

Is this the first time you've changed your strings?
Stretch them out. Tune them. Repeat...Then Leave

The best thing to do is take it to a professional, and have them fix it. Same thing happend to me when I tried changing the string myself for the first time.

The 2nd time it wasnt so bad, but it buzzes some

what gauge did you have in it before?

they could be rattling in the cut of the nut. they might be sitting too low in the cut, or they could be buzzing on a fret that you cant see, in that case, a neck adjustment would be needed.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
