im learning the solo to walk by pantera

and it says for one part, do alternate fingering

and ive seen people do it on videos, it looks like they're running both their
hands down the neck or something?

im not sure what it is they're doin.

can someone clear it up for me?

well what dime does is slide up from one note to the next with his fretting hand, then with his picking hand he hits the same note he started on and slides up to the second note again

They're sliding down the neck with both hands. You do a hammer on on the appropriate fret, then slide up.

yeah...start on whatever note...slide your note up one octave, pull the note off back the the note an octave lower...alternate hands...he called it fake echo or something...
