Ray Torro really is a great guitarist despite being in MCR.

I think the guys from NFG are good just because they're quite speedy with power chords

Jade Puget (AFI) )

Awesome choice. He's not much of a show-off, but you can tell he has chops because his playing is tasteful, his tone is awesome, and he can make one or two guitar tracks fill out the mix like eight guitars would.

No they're not. I like that band a lot, but there's nothing instrumentally impressive about them, in my opinion. Except that they can write hooks like nobody's business.

Erm. Don't post a load of shitty guitarists then call out other people's lists, that's not cool.

For the record Avril Lavigne owns.

My favourite is probably Thomas Erak. My guitar-playing herooooo.

I really like toro's style so I would say him.

he seems pretty versatile although he somehow takes a bunch of different styles and makes them pretty "toro generic" if you know what I mean. everything's a bit different but it all sounds like him. kinda cool I guess.

again, before you say toro listen to erak

The title of this thread is an oxymoron.

But I remember that the guitarist out of Sum 41 was ok (he's left now I think though).

yeah, dave or something. idk if how good he was because i was around twelve when i liked them. sum 41 really isn't that bad of a band, they make some catchy stuff. they're kind of a guilty pleasure for me sometimes.
