okay, i posted this earlier but got no reply that could help much, so

i want to put a second vol on my strat in this order
vol1-neck vol
vol2-bridge vol
tone1-neck tone
tone2-bridge tone

i have seen diagrams but my 5 way is different to the ones on diagrams.
mine has 3 lugs on the right, 3 on the left and one in the middle

on the right my pups are attached like(top to bottom)
neck
middle
bridge

the middle lug on the 5 way is attached to the 3rd lug on my master vol at the moment.( left lug facing it)

Just kidding. You're a fucking retard.

You want to strap a bunch of used mattresses to the walls?

Why not just roll around naked in medical waste while you're at it?

Yeah, I got your pm... but I'm confused about what you want.

What do you have right now? Is it standard Strat wiring?

What are you hoping to have when its done? No volume control on the middle pickup?
All my photobucket pics are dead so no links to my guitar build threads.

there's many many fun wiring possibilities on standard strats (and even more on ssh or hsh guitars) but I'm not totally sure what it is that you want. You don't want your middle pickup to have a volume control source?

Why do you have two of these threads?

Delete one, or something. Also, the diagram I posted pretty much does what you want.

I don't know why you'd want full middle volume all the time. If you want it like that, wire the neck pickup directly to the volume control.

no it was mainly cause my 5 way looks nothin like the one in the diagram

eg...i have seen diagrams but my 5 way is different to the ones on diagrams.
mine has 3 lugs on the right, 3 on the left and one in the middle

on the right my pups are attached like(top to bottom)
neck
middle
bridge

you might be happier learning how the simple electronics that make up a passive guitar's network actually work. then you could understand it.

want some fun reading material to give you ideas and help you with your electronics work?

Well, no need to constantly bump your topic...I'll reply when I see your reply...

I asked if you had a multimeter, because then you could check which lug is active when...and we could find out how the switch worked.
Then you'd be learning about how to make the switch work, rather than just following a diagram.
