i can slide single notes up and down the fretboard with absolutely no problem but when i comes to power chords i can only slide down. i can slide up but not fast or even at a moderate pace. any suggestions cuz i think its my thumb placement?

as regards sliding up(towards guitar head): when you first start doing it it will feel awkward and feel like your thumb is sticking to the kneck but it just takes time to get used to the movement of your hand and thumb. it will take a while and you will get frustrated with it but just keep at it starting at a slow pace and you'll get there eventually

try sitting down to anchor the guitar.....i found that helped me when i was tryin to learn that one part in master of puppets verse lol....now i can do it fine....jus practise bro
