I read on some forum a few weeks ago that you can use some kind of files used for welding and use them to file a guitar nut. Is this true? My dad is a welder, so I bet he would have them.
you can use pretty much any flat file to file the nut into its shape but for the slots you want to make sure you use proper nut slotting files in specific gauges.
