How do I get great tone out of a BOSS DS-1 Distortion pedal?

I think a few combos I have tried are pretty cool already but I'd like new ones

I think you should just get a new amp and not worry about the pedal. It's NOT a very good pedal at all.

Look into a used Peavey 5150.
Heads will roll. Throats will be slit. Blood will flow like springs of water.

That's a bloody sweet tone! With clean amp settings, too!

Eww. Tone and DS1 don't belong in the same plane of existance.
But if you like it... you like it.

I like it and I also like my tone.

It doesnt go as well with my tube amp as with some crappy transistor thing the studio has. Gonna have to find a solution for that.

STFU & GTFO

I just put the tone and distortion at practically 0 and it works as a good over-drive pedal.
