Im not exactly about scales but he uses alot of leggato (don't think i spelt that right) in his solo's.
You may have a 10 x 10 stack of marshalls and i may only have one, but mine goes to 11.... Beat that

He uses a lot of Blues & Minor Pentatonic scales, and he and Adrian both use the Aeolian mode a lot. Check out the solos on "Paschendale" to see that stuff in action.

But yeah, like everyone else said, lots of Minor, pentatonic for the early stuff, and the occasional Major or Harmonic minor.(7th son era)
