Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here was selling their music on iTunes. If so, how much do you generally make per song? If you aren't on iTunes but on a similar service, could you tell me what service you are selling your original music through and how much you are making per song? I am working on a marketing project for school and need some information! The more, the merrier (as long as its accurate)! Thanks.

So if it is all profit for the band, how does iTunes make their money? The consumer pays $.99 for a song. What does the band get to keep? I am looking more for single song sales rather than album sales if that helps any! Thanks for the help guys!

How does the rights to the music factor into this?

Hey Guys! I appreciate all the responses, however, they are not getting down to the info I need for the project! I don't need to know who is better and why. What I need to know is, how much does the artist make per song on these services (average)? Per Album (Average)? This can be percentages, dollar amounts, or whatever! Thanks again
