alright, so ive played for a couple of years now but hardly ever with a drummer and i always just look up tabs of song i like. I think it's probably beneficial to start playing to a metronome though, any suggestions?

Yes, it'll absolutely be beneficial to your playing. I have a cheap Korg metronome and it works nicely, if you don't need anything more than simple beats it'll do the trick.

Just get one that clicks as opposed to beeps... they are really really annoying imho... (the beepers)
