ive tried using one before at a store on an acoustic but i didnt seem to get the same effect

let me guess. you pressed the slide down on the neck like you would do with a finger when doing bare chords. am I right?

yeah the firefly meets my expectations for cleans, nice and jazzy, great for ska... the distortion wasnt that great though, so i use a big muff to replace it.

im goign to get a blackheart handsome devil and an aby switch and have a stereo sound going on when i get the cash.

It's likely just clean signal from a Strat into a Fender amp, with some additional studio reverb, and likely some ADT.

Just put your amp on clean and use a slide.

beat me to it. maybe a tad flanger, a half second of delay or so, a slide, a bit of reverb? maybe a tiny bit of distortion.

yeah. your just let it rest on top of the strings, pick a note and slide up or down the neck.

I just learned not to do that, while playing around with a screwdriver up and down the fretboard.
