Yes, kilt shenanigans.

Basically, I'm on Spring Break right now, and I've come back to Florida so that I could see the family...anyways, my brother, who's in High School, asked me to volunteer for career day at his school...I talk a bit, get free lunch, and leave.

Anyways, their career day happens to be on Monday, which is St. Patrick's day. However, I'm Scottish, not Irish, so I was thinking of wearing a kilt just for fun.

Just asking your opinion on this.

EDIT: Screw the athletic shorts. I'm wearing it in tradition, with nothing underneath.
Play the man, Master Ridley; we shall this day light such a candle, by God's grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out.

What the hell kind of question is this?

For God's sake, wear the kilt!

Nothing underneath, either. Pansy.

Don't be a pansy, let the breeze grace your manhood as you talk to the kiddies!

It's not really uncommon for people to wear kilts here. I guess you wouldn't stand out there either.

If I walked down the road in a kilt in Scotland, I'd stand out. It's a safe bet that he'll stand out in Florida. And Swedish kilts? WTF?

Then that's a pretty poor translator.

Try the word "fitta" and you'll get closer to the shocking truth!

By the way, where did you find that? I've been looking for a Swedish translator.

I used this (1st result in google)

It doesn't seem to be very good since it told me fitta = tillpassat, which isn't even a word in English.

what? no way!

A letter published in the Edinburgh Magazine in March 1785 by one Ivan Baillie argued that the garment people would today recognize as a kilt was invented around the 1720s by Thomas Rawlinson, a Quaker from Lancashire. Rawlinson was claimed to have designed it for the Highlanders who worked in his new charcoal production facility in the woods of northern Scotland.

That's from a wikipedia article on the history of the kilt but I was told that at school too.
