I'm looking at buying an AVT150 head and a JCM 900 cab from a dude. What do you guys think about the AVT line? I've never played the AVT, only MGs and JCMs. How does the AVT compare to those? Of course I'll play it first, but just want to hear what the community has heard about this line.

shite.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

MG = Crap in every sense of the word.
AVT = Overpriced marketing ploy (crap)
All JCM Series = Pwn the sh*t outta the 2 above.
For the price you're paying for this AVT half stack you could probably get a nice JCM800/900 combo. I suggest you look for one of them instead.

Over the course of giggin with one for a few months it hit me. I had one style.. FUZZ and more fuzz.. they arent verry good I will tell you that.

They are pretty much like MGs with tubes taped on. I'm not really only talking the tone, but the price as well.

My school has one, and I have to play through it if I want to play an electric, but meh, I'd rather play an acoustic than that.

And Don't spend your load on a stack, get a JCM combo. It'll pwn the AVT in every single way.
