Back from my thesaurus, I now pose the question: Why would you want to desecrate a song?

**** you, punk rock....rocks.

That sounds fun too, i'd pick some pathetic mainstream song, n make it cool.

Speed the song up and play power chords and barre chords.

Barre chords, not power chords. Make it Johnny Thunders like. Actually Johnny Thunders played power chords. Still barre chords are more common. Put some Johnny Thunders like licks in.

I once punked up a Stone Roses song in a band.

We couldn't figure out the song by ear and the only thing we could find on the net was the chords, so we basically played it with power chords and palm mutes.

Song was "All Across The Sands" btw.

there realy is no limitations on 'punk', the attitude of punk is to do and say whatever you want and not care what anyone else thinks, therefore, if hannah montana likes her music, and doesn't care what others say, she's punk....not that i'm saying she is.

I've always loved that.
Is the cartoon band based on the Casualties? And did this ever air?

Yes it's aired, and I don't think it's based off The Casualties. The Casualties are just stereotypical punks making them look exactly like that.

What I do when I wanna punk up a song is, I get out some glue and put my mohawk up, throw on my studded leather jacket and plaid bondage pants, lace up my combat boots, down a 40oz, pick up a guitar I found in a dumpster, crank up my amp, and shout really loud while playing power chords as fast as I can. It makes the song more punk if you throw in lots of obsceneties. Saying "Oi!" and "Up da punx!" a lot is always a sure way to punk things up as well.

Ian Mackaye is kind of an asshole. He was racist and homophobic, johnnynemo has already proved that. He has two good bands, two of them suck.
