Ok, its late and im not sure what this thread has to do with anything, but ive been listening to bohemian rhapsody and it struck me that this song may be about him being gay. It was just the part in the middle "mama, jus kiled a man, put my gun against his head, pulled my trigger now hes dead". Now I know that this doesnt really give any obvious indications to the song meaning, but I remembered that in the middle ages death was a metaphor for sexual climax, used often in such works as Chaucer, Wife of Baths Tale. So the "mama, just killed a man" could be relating to having sex with another man.
Next he says "put my gun against his head", a possible euporism for his penis, "puled my trigger now hes dead", again a euphorism about ejaculation.
Later in the song he talks about how he is going to hell etc... which is commonly thought to be what happens to homosexuals.
Well, as I say its just a thought that has no real meaning, but I was just interested as to what anyone else thought. I have done sme research and found out the song waswritten about 11 years before he died of AIDS, and therefore was not singing about that, despite some of the lyrics seeming that way.
Anyway if anyone wants to share their opinion please do.
We'll be washed and buried one day my friend
And the time we were given will be left for the world
The flesh that lived and loved will be eaten by plague
So let the memories be good for those who stay

I think that it might have been about that he knew that he was going to die of AIDS, don't really know much about Queen and when Freddie Mercury got AIDS

The song kicks ass, that's all that matters.

SO if Janne and Alexi did a gay porn, would I be the only one willing to buy it?

That's a dumb question, you know everyone in here would buy it too. I know I would!

Wouldn't it make more sense if it was saying that his mama killed the man in him through something that she did?

This song brings out the weird in everyone.

It turns out that it happens to be the best in everyone.
We are the diamonds that choose to stay coal;
A generation born to witness
The end of the world

Why the fuck do people think that every Queen song ever composed was about homosexuality or AIDS?

For fuck's sake, people.

Because the only recognizable thing to some people are Freddie Mercury's homosexuality, and not his amazing voice. Retards....

Also.

Because I'm easy come, easy go...Little high, little low.....

anyone else just now noticing a bazillion innuendos in the lyrics being posted? TS, you might be on to something.

"anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me"

that seems pretty straightforward now that I think about it. hmmm....

Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger now he's dead....

Also, Don't Stop Me Now is blatantly more homosexual than Bohemian Rhapsody.
Go listen to it.

No, he wrote it a long time before he had AIDS

which is odd, because it perfectly fits with the feelings someone with a terminal disease may have...maybe he was clairvoyant?
