Hey I just saw this on music123 - $70!
It has true bybass - which is a plus, and the reviews are pretty good..

Should I get this or a Morley Bad Horsie?
I was positive on the Bad Horsie until I came across this.

So, what do you guys/gals think?

I'd say get the Bad Horsie.
I base my decision on absolutely nothing.
Gear:

Ibanez XPT707FX
Ibanez RG7321 (DiMarzio D-Activator 7 Pickups)

Dunlop Crybaby 535Q Wah-Wah
DigiTech Whammy WH-4
Boss RC-20XL Loop Station

Line 6 Flextone III Plus w/FBV2 Footswitch

I'm still wondering though, is having a switchless wah a big deal?
I mean, I'm sure there's better wah tones than the Bad Horsie...
I was drawn to it because of that spec.....

What would you say is better: switchless or true bybass?

(And if someone could comment on the Wonder Wah, that would be great .

I personally like a switch so you have the option of using it as an envelope filter. If you're worried about speed you shouldn't be since when you turn it off you leave it right in the right spot to be turned on. Sure it's slower than a switchless, but not a lot.

Okay, thanks for the info .

So, is the Snarling Dogs Wonder Wah worth it?

It's seems like a good deal, but alas, I have not tried it out .

I haven't tried it out either, but I have heard that they sound pretty great for lower gain stuff. They just have some reliability problems.

Well my band plays high gain stuff (think Arch Enemy, Pantera, Damageplan), would it still be okay?

Thanks in advance!

I would just get the Morley since they are aimed at higher gain and do them quite well.

Damn.....well, I'll do some more research .
My main objective is to get a true bybass wah - at a resonable price.

(the Bad Horsie has a "buffered" bybass)

I am sure you can get a used Crybaby for about 45 or 50 bucks and mod it for true bypass and mod it for a metal sound. Try the ultimate wah modding thread in GB&C forum.

No crybaby's! I hate those damn things, I tried the buddy guy one or something, and a classic - the wah tone seemed like sh1t to me, and no mods!

Ohh. I was under the impression you wanted to stay around $70. Man I am not catching anything today. Well for that you could get the slash wah or dime wah. Yes, they are both signiture models and overpriced, but both do high gain the best besides the Craybaby 535Q.

*cough* true bybass please *cough*

Sorry...heh.

BTW, thanks for all the help so far .

The dime and the slash are both true bypass and both do high gain exceedingly well. The 535q with the right setting should do high gain equally as well.

I didn't see it anywhere. I tried one and didn't notice any tone sucking, so even if it is buffered, it's a good buffer.

(scroll down, it's on the right )

Okay, well I guess I'll put it on my list.
It just kills me when there's a $70 true bybass wah out there...

Is the Wonder Wah not worth it?

(so cheap!! )

EDIT: isn't there an easy true bybass mod for the crybaby's?
If there is..SOLD!

True bypass doesn't really mean anything. It's not necessarily better. They could use terrible wire in the bypass and it would be worse than a buffered bypass.

Never played one, but it's generally considered a low gain wah.

You guys, I found the mother f*cking holy grail! (well sort of )

The Dunlop DB-02 CFH, same as the DB-01, but true bybass + and no controls.

Nevermind, apparently it's not exactly the same, k, DB-01..sorry .
