My friend's birthday's coming up, and I've got like...a $250-300 budget for a bass. I've been looking for a solid, affordable bass from ESP (or another brand...) that I can get him. Any suggestions?

Thx ppl.

Buying your friend a bass? That's pretty generous.

I would personally recommend the Squier Vintage Modified series basses, or a Peavey Millenium bass. Very solid beginner-intermediate basses that play well and will last a long time.

People keep asking us where Paul is. That's a really funny question. See, if Paul was still in the band then we wouldn't have a new fucking record. That's why Paul isn't in the band anymore. (by Maynard James Keenan)

You, sir, are a great friend.Look at the peavy grind basses, you can probably get one for under 350 at Ebay.
