Ok I've finally got my tone and ac/dc sound OH YEAHHHHHHH!

Ok this is what I have to get their tone.

1.Treynor ycv 40 watt all tube classica 2x10 amp.
with the foot switch hooked up.

2Cort G260 with Dattiro's 10-46's extra heavy.

3.RP150

The amp is set on 5 for everything except for the reverb which is set on 6.

The rp150 is set to 78 preset present.

and it sounds identical to them and I'm so freaking excited.

Could just buy a JCM800 and Gibson SG, I think he's used both the standard and the 61/62 reissue.

Angus can't be bothered with effects, which I totally agree with him on.

Yeah. I have the YCV40T, too. Good amp. You should replacing the tubes with hot grade KT77's...That's what I did. Never looked back.
How much better would they be?

Naw, he uses a JTM45 and a 1964 ORIGINAL Gibson SG.

But that combo would do fine as well.

I stand corrected, I'm pretty sure he's used a lot of different SG's though?

Yeah, Hundreds of them. He used to swap SGs about every show back in the 80's and 90's.... but nowadays he uses a 64 and a 68, he has a couple of both.

why the hell are you using a cruddy Digitech multi FX for an AC/DC tone when you have a kick-ass amp that's perfectly capable of nailing the tone on its own?

That still doesn't explain why your using it to get this particular tone...

Just take the RP out of your circuit and you will sound even better
Then my pickups will not sound hot.

Angus and Malcolm use vintage output pickups in their guitars and play straight into their amps using lots of volume but surprisingly little gain.

you don' t need the RP at all for their tone.
