Not really, help, but tell me what you think:

Starting near the end of the day yesterday I've had a back ache. Not just like a muscular ache or a sore back, but like in the top right of my back, it hurts when I move, it hurts when I breathe, it hurts when I cough/yawn.

Anyone have opinions?

I have the same problems once in a while too. When I breath in I can feel it pinching in my back. I think it's just a muscle being pinched by your bones.

Haha, no worries guys, I have a doctors appointment tonight at 6:30, just wanted to get some ideas...

I'd think it was muscular if it didn't hurt when I breathe.

I'd think it was my lungs if I didn't hurt when I moved.

I'd think it was my rib if I did something to it, but ribs don't spontaneously crack...or do they?

As you say its not a muscular pain id say it might be a problem with your spinal vertebrae, or a nerve therein. Your doctor will be able to say more precisly than me but it will probably be a lower cervical/upper thoracic vertebrae.. (top of your back) that needs looking at. Its probably not as serious as a break or youd be in lots of pain so it shouldnt be too bad.

I did one of mine through lifting at work. IIRC it wasn't even anything heavy, I do remember I could hardly move for a week or so though.

i think i broke a rib pole vaulting but idk.
