Alright guys, I just found a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe on my local Craigslist for $200. It works perfectly except the reverb is broken.

Should I buy it? And how much would it cost to get the reverb fixed (I know that's a minor fix.... and I can do it later since I don't need reverb much anyways)?

Get it, or I will. 200$? And you are STILL WONDERING?! Those things cost almost a 1000$ here, in Poland... Lucky bastard.

Hi,
I have been pickin' up some Arabic radio signal things. Every time I turn up my Amp, this crazy Imam starts messing up my chords.

Definitely buy it!!!

Just get a dedicated reverb pedal with the load of $$$ you save!

I wouldn't mess with the amps Reverb tank unless you are 100% sure what you're doing. A Reverb pedal would be the best bet

you cant break a broken reverb tank tho
Get off this damn forum and play your damn guitar.

Buy that. Dont think. Buy. With all the money u save, go pick up an EHX Holiest Grail. Or any kind of Holy Grail really.

Alright, I'll call the guy ASAP. Something tells me there's a catch... unless it's a sign from above (I have like $210 right now)

Hence the 'make sure you know what you're doing' comment.

You really should read, Stevo

wtf?

www.google.com

type in tube amp capactor drain and you'll likely find a comprehensive guide

now stop trying to be a patronising dick at every opportunity

Well if he's local go and play the Amp yourself, then you'll know whats what

That's the plan, it's why I like looking on Craigslist, everything is <30 miles away for me.

i wouldnt say thellamaking is trying to be a "patronising dick". hes just reiterating what has been said on top of telling you to read before you post.

i did read. i got the impression the post meant "dont screw with your reverb tank unless youre 100% sure what youre doing, or else you'll break it"

alls i said, was you cant break broken stuff. and as long as you drain the massive caps, you wont die either.

this is all, however just one more step in the perpetual one up battle that is mine and tom's lives

Not that good a deal, IMO. I hate the HRD's OD.

Perhaps. But my only amps are a Peavey Blazer and a Marshall MG.

With a goddamned Gibson SG!
