Different versions come with pick guards so I would think one could be added. I wouldn't do it myself, there is something about drilling into a $1300 piece of wood...

None of the Standards come with pick guards now. I don't think the solids do anymore either. The store can put them on at your discretion though.

my LP has a pickguard but its an Epiphone, not Gibson, i would imagine that they drill it on the edge where the mteal thing hold the pickguard up, the screw on the top of the pickguard isnt where it gets drilled if thats what ur asking
