What pedal will most closely resemble Jimi Hemndrix's sound? I have heard the fuzzface reissues do not the sound the same as they used to.

Thanks!

So many sounds to consider here, like the octafuzz, germanium/silicon fuzz, rotating speaker/univibe. Also how much you are willing to spend?

1) Well with me, I believe in spending as much as I have to to get top quality. So...anything goes.

2) Also, I am really curious about overdrive, fuzz, or distortion pedals. Everything goes though.

Roger Mayer Axis Fuzz would bee a good fuzz pedal to check out. Analogman Sunfaces can get some Jimi type sounds.
You'd also need a wah pedal. Tesse wahs are pretty good, or a modded vox wah.

a cranked plexi would do wonders too... but it's hard to find one in pedal form

You have to check out the barber trifecta fuzz. Have a buddy of mine who plays Hendrix like no one else and the sounds from this pedal even impressed him PLus it actually is three types of fuzz. Go to Barber Electronics and read and listen to it.
