jim morrison?

he's an amazing singer, but he'd be the first one to admit he's not the greatest...it was more about the lyrical content for him

Freddie Mercury. Amazing, its funny though 'cause half of my musician friends didn't know he was gay 'till I told them how he died of AIDS.

Jim Morrison? Are you kidding? He didn't sing, he crooned. There's a difference.

...Anyway, Nina Simone.

James LaBrie can sing really well too.
Greg Lake has got be my favourite.

Me and my friend once made a list of 100 male singers that are better than Dave Grohl. I have no idea why....I like the Grohl, personally, but I think we were just curious to see whether we could think of 100.

Anyway....the rock singers that I consider to the best include Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, Brad Delp, and Geddy Lee.
California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain, Honolulu star-bright, the song remains the same.

Russell Allen of Symphony X and Simone Simons of Epica are easily my favorite singers. I have a personal wish to hear them sing the songs Phantom of the Opera and The Music of the Night.

I'll also give credit to Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Liv Kristine (Leaves' Eyes), Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish), Floor Jansen (After Forever), Matt Barlow (Iced Earth), Steve Perry (Journey), Jon Oliva (Trans-Siberian Orchestra), Roger Daltrey (The Who), and everyone else who has ever appeared on an Ayreon project.
