I wanna build a mesa v-twin, I have the shematics how much do you think the parts will run me?
Is it possible?
Is this a good idea?
where could i buy the integrated circuits?
Have any of you made any mesa clones?
I'll probably be working with my dad and gaining some experience soldering aswell.

Schematics.

The pedal or the rackmount pre-amp?

Yes.

As a first build? Absolutely not.

They aren't exotic. Just a couple different varieties of op-amp with jFET input from TI and some logic gates. The FETs for switching will probably be harder to find.

Try Mouser or Newark Electronics.

I haven't. Mesa designs are usually high-gain. High gain tube circuits are a pain. Layout, lead dress, grounding techniques are critical or you end up with a noisy and/or unstable circuit. None of that is on the schematics. You either need a layout, or you need a ton of amp building experience to get it right.
