man in the box-alice in chains.

good easy-ish solo to it and fun to play.

EDIT: any alice in chains song for that matter. there are a couple that have harder solos but generally it is just a medium difficulty bluesy solo.

best played with a wah pedal but not required.

You should attempt to learn the solo's in the songs you already know. If you slow it down, learn each phrase individually and practice it you will eventually be able to play it.

Learn the solos to those songs, and don't give up. You'll be amazed what you can do if you try hard enough. Also how many years have you being playing? You omitted the number. In any case, I know people who could play the solo to Kissing the Shadows after 2 years of playing. They're special cases obviously, but if you put in even a fraction of the work they do, say just making sure you play for an hour or so a day, you will find yourself improving at a good rate.

Basically what I'm saying, is don't be scared of all those notes on the score! Start slow and build it up! If you can't do it straightaway, aim for a certain speed, and try to get there. The next day, increase that speed.

Good Luck!

thats a little easy dont u think lol?

i think i was playing that solo around month 4 with too much ease...id look at some megadeth stuff personally, or some of metallicas stuff geared a little more difficultly.

Wait.. Been playing 2 years and only know easy songs?
I'm guessing you don't play much?

I'm at 1 year/ sweep picking and all that tasty stuff

But I can't recommend you a song since you're into classic rock.. not my cup of tea

I'm at 3 months now and I'm working on Cliffs of Dover. I've had 10+ years of violin experience so picking up another stringed instrument was fairly easy. I'm at the point now where my violin experiences aren't helping much anymore and I'm on my own. I'd say I'm around a 1.5 year skill level, probably less, but Cliffs of Dover is a good challenge.

Do Cliffs of Dover. It's more difficult then the stuff you listed I assume, but it's not too hard.
