Brother Moon by Amorphis

How is Brother Moon?

I felt Amorphis descended ever further into the pits of suckage after Thousand Lakes...but Elegy was tolerable.

Tuonela has some shining moments, too, but after that...godawful!!

Only upside was Opeth opened for them and introduced me to opening band pwnage.

I suppose the stuff I like to listen to on the road is the same as the stuff I listen to the rest of the time. 12 hour drive huh? Damn, I'd grab everything you got for that kind of a hike...

I brought 100 CD's with me on my honeymoon.

I'd kind of lick my fingers and go, "Blues? Jazz? Country? Psychedelic?..."

Never ran out of music on that trek.

12 hours!?!?! Have fun!!

Just bring most of your sh!t. For that kinda haul i'd just listen to all my favorite albums. The albums that have the tracks run together like pink floyd- the wall or something would be entertaining.

ACDC are great for the open road back in black, you shook me all night long and . tnt are some of the best

You know you get those 'best driving power rock what ever album in the world' compilations?
My dad has one, and it's awesome.

Racing down the road
In a street machine of steel
Gears are jammed in full
I'm the madman at the wheel

Got my foot pinned to the floor
You can feel the engine roar
I got thunder in my hands
I'm metal thrashing mad

Driving like a maniac
Can't go any faster
Burning up the road
Headed for disaster

metal thrashing mad - anthrax

American Football self titled album.

My driving-home-on-the-Sunrise-Hwy-at-3am soundtrack.
My style is impetuous.
My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious.
I want your heart.
I want to eat your children.

For me, any music I love is better in the car. I usually just go on drives just to listen to music in my car. I guess it's because I'm surrounded by the music and moving forward as I listen? I don't know the exact reason, but I love it.

Listen to Protest the Hero… you don’t have to like them, but they are usually fast paced cool songs… and if you don’t like singing/screaming… get the instrumental version… always very good

Otherwise...

Audioslave… Rage Against the Machine… Soundgarden (some, not all), QOTSA, Mar Volta, Blindside, Jimmy Buffet, Simon and Garfunkle, Sublime

There are so many to choose from, it would have to be one BIG mix cd… or nine
