The dreams of millions haunt me
Their lives are bleak and cold
So much pain and sorrow
Pour from the youngest souls
Look what you've done with what I gave you
You ask me to forgive
It's not enough the world around you
Not enough I let you live

And the thing you want to see - oh so desperately has made you blind
And the place you hope to go - just so you all know, you'll never find

Your hate and greed keep rolling
On like there is no tomorrow
Think that by begging me for mercy
That fate will let you go
The things you've got you never thank me
You question when those things are gone
You sing your songs of sadness
Instead of moving on

And the thing you want to see - oh so desperately has made you blind
And the place you hope to go - just so you all know, you'll never find

You think my plan involves your sorrow
There is no plan at all
Your life and times are mostly wasted
Too bad you missed your call
Time unfolds as chance may have it
Chance won't respond to desperation
Sorry won't ensure your seat in Heaven
No hope for your salvation

And the thing you want to see - oh so desperately has made you blind
And the place you hope to go - just so you all know you'll never find

Can't pray for lucky numbers
Can't dance for rainy weather
Can't pray for lucky numbers
Can't dance for rainy weather

i have to say i quite liked it... seems cool... although one thing i will ask.. please change the title... its far too similar to the rolling stones and screams plagarism and makes me doubt the rest of your work. im sure you didnt mean to but sorry thats how i saw that..

however as far as the song itself goes i liked it, thought it was interesting, well written and is a good piece.

7/10

P.S. i would appreciate it if you would crit mine too.. Closure thanks.
Light touch my hand, in a dream of Golden Skans, from now on.
You can forget our future plans.

And the things you want to see
the self you want to be
has made you blind-
has made you blind.
And the place you hope to go -
where no one else can follow,
you'll never find
you'll never find.

"oh so desperately" and "just so you all know" felt like filler so I changed them.

I have the idea for the chorus in my head and it sounds good. It's a Gmajor-Eminor-Bminor-Bminor progression. It changes chords every line and so goes through the progression 2x in one chorus. On the final chorus, you could make things interesting by switching the you with "me."

It was written exactly as a rebuttal to "Sympathy for the Devil". Why not a "Sympathy For The Almightly"? I'll never consider changing the name. But, thank you for the good comments about it. It took me a long time to write it. Maybe two years.
BlackFender, I'll try out that chord progression, I've never managed to put any music to it (but I won't change the words! There's no filler!).

This is really, really good. I liked it a lot. Very powerful. I loved the chorus. It was unbelievable. The only problem i saw was in this line:
Think that by begging me for mercy
That fate will let you go
take out the "that" in the second line. It destroys the flow and makes it sound a little choppy to me. It might just be me. But all in all its great. Crit mine? It's untitled so i'll give you the link. Check it out if you want.
