you want songs that will help you wallow in self pity or uplift your spirit? cuz we got all kinds of both.
If man is 5, if man is 5, if man is 5,
then the Devil is 6, then the Devil is 6, then the Devil is 6, the Devil is 6,
And if the Devil is 6,

then God is 7, then God is 7, then God is 7
This monkey's gone to heaven.

Explosions in the sky - the moon is down, six days at the bottom of the ocean
Milhaven - the east is red, new orleans

Mogwai and Pelican are really good as well.

Radiohead stuff, Soundgarden stuff, NIN stuff, and most of all, I'd say Rhinoceros-Smashing Pumpkins. Rhinoceros=Brilliant

Konstantine by Something Corporate will make you think, and since you're upset you'll think about sad things.

If it's the same thing, you'll stay sad for 3 months
And we will weave in and out of sanity unnoticed
Swirling in blissfully restless visions of all our bleary progress
Glowing in radiant madness

a day in the life -beatles
sad eyed lady of the lowlands -bob dylan
if you see her say hello -bob dylan

Warning - Footprints.

It just aids the emptiness to an almost surreal state for me.

Oh and listen to some explosions in the sky, they'll give ou a high that isn't obtainable by drugs, it'll make things so unreal and they'll make you content with yourself, just as long as noone else is involved or makes contact with you. (does that to me anyway).

How to Disappear Completely- Radiohead
There's only one thing we can do to thwart the plot of these albino shape-shifting lizard BITCHES!
#34
Elliott Smith - Waltz #1, Kings Crossing, Pretty Mary K (alternate version)
Massive Attack - Teardrop

Just listen to some Elliott Smith.

Edit: Scratch that, that Radiohead song above beats all.
TRANSFORMICE
