What's the best size of speaker for a decent sized cabinet? (Going to plug my AC30 into it).

probably a standard 4x12 layout. theres a reason they've done it that way for 50 years. sounds the best.

Thanks!

I've never wired speakers before, is this going to be overly difficult?

EDIT: I might make it 2x12, considering I ment it to be a half stack.

a 4x12 is a halfstack. A 2x12 is basically an extension cab for a combo, which would be perfect for plugging your AC30 into assuming it's a 2x12.

Yeah, the AC30 is 2x12. Really, what I'm trying to achieve is making my combo amp louder (and sexier).
I reckon I want a halfstack, something like this:

Adding an extension cab won't make the amp louder, it will look cooler, but it won't increase the volume very much

you have an AC30, so 30w, putting a 30w amp through a 100w cab is like pouring 30litres of water into a 100litre bucket, it will move more air, but won't create any significant difference in volume, if you want a louder amp, get a new one.
