I looked through iTunes and couldn't find much besides the obvious. Europa by Santana? Floods by Pantera? For The Love Of God by Steve Vai?

Never heard "November Rain", so I really have no clue of how to compare anything to it.

*shrugs*

Listen to "Windowpace" by Opeth, though. Every solo in that song is pure, undiluted sex in a can.

Alot of the Arch Enemy solo's done by Michael Ammot are just beautiful, but they're all good .

Check out:

-3rd solo in Nemesis
-Blood on your hands
-Revolution Begins

Speaking of them, end solo and harmony in bridge of destiny.

Nope. It may have been on the radio while I was listening or something, but I've never actually listened to it just to listen to it. I can't tell you anything about the song.

Beat me to it. Possibly one of the most orgasmic solos ever written.

That's a cover? Is it just them two in the song or are you referring to the beatles' version?

Don't Cry - Guns N' Roses
Fall to Pieces - Velvet Revolver
Loving the Alien - Velvet Revolver

Yes I do love Slash, but I do believe there is no other guitarist like him. All the above songs and "November Rain" are played with high distortion but still sound beautiful.

The whole of 'State of Grace' by Liquid Tension Experiment. I just think it's pure beauty.

Also, 'Electric Gypsy' by Andy Timmons is another great instrumental, as well as 'Cry For You.'

Actually, just listen to Devendra Banhart. No solos, but humorous songs that will raise your spirits.
I can honestly say I have really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

I don't always post on UG, but when I do, I post in the Pit. Stay thirsty my friends.

Damn, beaten to Another Day

The guitar solo in Home is a bit shreddy, but it sends chills down my spine every time with that opening note.

Jordan Rudesses first keyboard solo is so badass

Oh and the middle eastern theme in that song is so sick as well, and the middle eastern solo thing at the end! That is probably my favorite song of the Metropolis Part 2.
