Ok so your all probably really tired about talking about pinch harmonic (among other tings *cough sweep picking cough*) but i have an odd question. From what ive gathered i pinch harmonic stops sting vibrating at a single point but the string stll vibrates either side of where your thumb actually hit the string. So because of this change in vibration does that make the note value any different? For instance, if i do a pinch harmonic on the 12 fret of the A string is the note still an A note?

the note value changes depending on where you hit the string with your thumb

so if you want an a on the 12th fret, you have to try a few positions to get the right pinch harmonic
