compatible with other amps?

Any amp that has the same connectors and is designed to have two buttons on its foot switch should work.
Do you use a BR-600?

depends on what connection the amp your using it with has for a footswitch...also it might work but it might not change the functions your looking to change

As far as i know the only liquor that should not be stored after opened is wine, and even then it's mainly the french one. American wine usually has conservatives in it to stop this.

All Im looking is to change from distortion to clean and back.

If your amp is designed for a footswitch to change say just distortion/clean nad boost one of those switches would do it but if it is made for a 3 button footswitch it may not work.

Yes, probably the Channel is the tip, and the DFX the ring. So for distortion you'll probably only use channel.

Try putting a cable in your footswitch jack (just a normal guitar cable) and touch the bridge of your guitar with the tip of the other side. If it switches you can use this.
