If you have an amp with an FX loop (for example lets say the marshall DSL50), and you also have a Line 6 POD, is is possible to just plug the output of the POD into the FX return of the amp, completely ignoring the preamp of the marshall? So its like Guitar -> POD -> FX return, with nothing connected to the preamp. Would this be okay? Would anything happen to the Marshall? Would there be anything i need to watch out for? I don't want any replies sayin "Wut... ditch teh marshall tonezorz 4 teh Line 6???!!!11" It's jst because I have some nice tones on my pod which i would like to be able to use live, and the versatility would be much greater than just the amp alone. Of course, for some songs I would just use the Marshall.

It'd be fine. I've done it with my old G2 and Laney VC15.
That will work perfectly fine. Plugging into the effects loop return will bypass the Marshall's preamp and utilize only the poweramp section. It won't harm anything.
