Yea...supposedly people want a Woodstock every decade, and Woodstock '09 would be the next one. What do you think about it? Would you go? Would it be a disaster like Woodstock '99?

Yea, hopefully the music wouldn't suck and it wouldn't be just pop bands, etc.

It's a music festival, it's made good by the performances of the bands that play, not its "originality"

lol wut

Yeah, well it's all just music, if you see bands that you like then go, if there aren't then don't bother. It's not going to "suck" it's just going to appeal to a different audience.

Pretty sure I had that toy when I was younger....minus the green hat though.

Anyway, it all depends on the bands that are playing.
California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain, Honolulu star-bright, the song remains the same.

People would probably bitch about losing their cell phones, iphones, laptops, getting muddy, and then you'd have to put up with hearing the same thing all day, because it'd just be a ton of pop bands and screamo/metalcore.

Technology/today's lifestyle ≠ Woodstock.

why was woodstock 99 a disaster?

Any festival where there is fear of death/injury/rape is no festival for me.

Well if the people running it aren't greedy as **** it will work.

depends on the bands of course

Agreed. It really depends on who's gonna be there. Probably no one I'll be interested in seeing though.
ok, yeah. my name is silly because I signed up when I was 13.

A quick briefing on Woodstock '99 for those who don't know.

The festival was a disaster from the start. The field it was held on was previously used to dump medical waste. Add that with a freakish heat wave and greedy concert promoters not allowing people to bring their own water and rather buy the $5 bottles.

People got PISSED! And during Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" riots broke out. The bands played anyway. People use candles that were being sold to light bonfires and it was complete chaos.

Anyways, I might go depending on where it is and whose playing.

how about the way your entire country generalizes a culture by the actions of a few, citing any Americans idea of a middle eastern person.

Nah, even the first one would've been a borefest to me. Fest in Gainseville is the best festival.
